I have a low-tech 10 gallon planted tank, I'm looking for any kind of plant!

Anubias plants are practically invincible and available at the chain stores like petco and petsmart. I know they are around $5.99 for a potted specimen at petco or $10 for it attached to something like a rock or driftwood. You can unpot the cheaper one and attach it to whatever you like with fishing line until it takes hold.
I have a specimen of Anubias nana that I got at auction kept in a 5 gallon killifish aquarium with no light. With just ambient light in the room it has doubled in size in 3 months. My friend keeps hers in a 29 gallon planted aquarium with compact fluorescents and it has quintupled in size and flowered. It also has tough leathery leaves that make it cichlid and goldfish resistant.

Other options include java moss or fern and a good number of plants in the genus: cryptocoryne. You can web search for images of them but a lot of the pet stores should have small tags in the plant bundles from the nursery still. All of these do fine with the stock light that comes with a 10 gallon kit.

Thanks guys.
Yeah I have your basic Java ferns/moss, anubias, amazon sword ( I will have to get rid of it as soon as it grows too big).
I'm looking for the more cryptocoryne, which are pretty hard to find in the stores in philly.

Captain Nemo's has a decent selection of Crypts. They actually have about 4 varieties with the Lutea and Wendtii being in stock almost always. I'd go there first since they actually have good quality crypts.
Most of the crypts you find at chain stores are in poor shape and packed too hard in rockwool since they come potted. Damage on the roots from extraction almost ensures meltdown once in your tank.
I'd do Captain Nemo's in E. Norriton.

Aquarium center in Jersey is another good place to get plants.
